does anyone know what the largest tires i can put on a 2004 f250 sd w/out a lift. also i heard that if you do this you may have to change a chip in the computer or else the larger diameter tires may throw off engine performance (timing, fuel delivery, ect.). is this true or just a way for a shop to make more money?

any help would be appreciated because noone seems to know for sure.
