| 3 weeks ago i bought a 2004 ranger xlt 4 door supercab,1st off these trucks
have a new seat design,and they are junk,if it don't kill your tailbone
it will kill your back,ford and the dealer in owensboro,ky refuses to
admitt there is a problem and therefore refuses to fix it,if you are thinking about buying one of these junks take a long,long test drive first
that is if you can make it that far. now beside the seat problem,in the last three weeks of ownership i have have the rear gravel guards fall off,the right rear door would not shut without slamming it so hard you'd think it broke the glass,next the plastic panel under the steering colum was bent
and had to be replaced,now the plastic strip is comming off on the drivers side. i have been a ford man all my life but this year the ford slogan should be BUILT FORD JUNK,

Hi Dave I just bought a 2004 ranger fx4 Level II same problem with the passenger side door.. it was the small one that you had to slam... took it in to get fixed.. then 1 week later the driver side door started to make creaking noise took it in to fix said they couldn't hear the problem noise started the nextr day... In all I've had my $30000 truck in 3 time before the 5000km servicing.. You are correct about the seats they suck... I owned a 94 ranger before this one.. it was great.... After the problems with this one I will never buy and other ford product as long as I live

Geez dude..if you hate it so bad..it should still be under warranty..you paid good money for it..go to them and complain. I have a 2002 FX4, 4L and it rocks...no complaints...any issues, I go to the dealership...

Of course it's under warranty!!! But what is upsetting is that i have been in to the dealership 5 time in 6,000km.. Maybe you have all the time in ther world to hang out at your local ford dealer but that was not my intention when i spent 30k on a brand new truck... FORD fix or repair daily... This truck is a prime time piece of american built shit... No more fords for me!!!!
