You can start with a new intake, maybe some more open exahust, and a chip.

Get tires with the least rolling resistance, and a tonnoue cover for the bed. Maybe a lowering kit, lol. Seriously though, those things all combined will get your milage up a bit. Also running higher octane will help too.

ok it gets 14/16 so an air intake and exhaust i know will help, but which company has the best, and for how much? also, how much will these things increase my mileage? like 17/19?

We did an in-depth review of the Corsa exhaust and the Advanced Flow Engineering setup for our '05 Silverado HD at http://www.4x4review.com/feature/duramax-perf/default.asp. This was done before the wicked gas prices started, so our article was based upon performance gains, but there is still good informaiton in there.

The one thing you didn't mention, is which engine you got in your King Ranch. If you got a Diesel motor, then I strongly suggest you put a chip in it, like the Edge chip (http://www.4x4review.com/feature/EdgeJuice/).

I thought so... considering the title of the thread was "Gas", but didn't want to rul it out in general. :)

Anyhow, we have had a lot of success with the AFE and Corsa setup in our '05 Silverado. It's been installed for about 3 years now and is working perfectly.

You know as sick as it is....the girl and I own a Hyundai. We also have 5 73-87 Chevys, and 56 DeSoto Firedome 330 Hemi. But the Hyundai gets 38 mpg.

Ummm... yeah, we're paying $4.70 per gallon of Diesel in TX right now. That hole Hyundai thing is starting to sound pretty good right now!

I don't even want to think about my next rip to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari. Fuel costs may actually outweigh my bar tabs this coming year! Eeeks.
