ok, so i just got my new truck. its an 01 f150 supercrew 4x4 off road, its got a 4 inch fabtech lift, and 35 inch bfg's. im tempted to take it off roading just cuz of how good it looks, but am not sure of the front ball joints turning the tires. im not sure that when i kick it in 4x4 and give it gas that it can handle the 35 inch tires. any advice on how mouch the joints in the front can take?
thanks |

Well, if you're going to head off road and can take it easy, your truck should be able to handle 35's, but it is the upper limit of that truck's front-end. Play it safe, don't get goofy with the goofy pedal and you should be fine.
That is unless, there is already some stress / damange up front from the previous owner. In which case, I retract all previous statements made, and this message will self destruct.
