I own a 84 f150 4x4 4 speed with a 4.9l straight six. i just recently had the motor totaly redone as with the single barrel. the motor runs 10 degrees of timing all new coil 8.5 mm wires autolite plugs modual etc i have no catilitic converter it has 1 3/4 pipe with a thrush glasspack. now my problem is my spark plugs keep loosening up, every week i have to retighten them or the motor skips. there is very little restriction and it is only a six, why is there so much compression, and why do the plugs keep loosening, they are cranked tight so im lost. No one can answer me and ford says they dont know either. I have been told to use locktite but i dont like the idea of glueing them in, im afraid to cause damage. any help would be greatly apreciated as i am tired of it. does anyone know of any power gains in after market, i looked into a high performance ignition system and the dealer laughed at me, 300s ar extremly common, there has to be something out there underpowered in ny brett
