this is going to sound crazy but mu 96 truck will start on its own. i have replaced the starter, the ignigtion assembly, the alternator and other electricial components. if the truck is running in park the starter will re engage, if i turn the truck off and thak the key out it will still try to start. untill i take out the maxi fuse it will try to turn over. it is a 305 with the 4wd trans. i can not figure this problem out and neither can the local shops. if anyone has heard of this weird problem please contact. I neeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd my truck back. Pat paddyspub98@yahoo.com \

You wouldn't happen to live near a graveyard would you? Or maybe power lines?

That is really strange. I've never heard of that.

I would start chasing wires and see what is hot when the ign. is off. Identify those and see if they're shorting out in a wire bundle leading to the starter.
