| Hey i have a 91 isuzu trooper 4x4, im having a lil problem with the 4x4 on it, its seems to engage most of the time, but sometime it will not engage at all, the 4x4 light comes on but doesnt lock into 4wd? and when it does work , when u stop then go it makes a clicking noise? it does it when u back uppin reverse too? well ne-help would be appreciated,thx.. |

Keep it simple save your self lots of time, take it to the dealer,
you pay accordly but they have all the test equitemnt needed to check it out.
Then If you can afford it, buy a Toyota.
Isuzu are good but Toyota are the Best............on the most part

wHAT'S GOING ON? I had a 90 Trooper (loved it). It sounds like your hubs are bad....do you have the automatic hubs? If so, they are pretty prone to going bad after a while, if not looked after properly. New auto hubs cost about $250-300 for the parts and labor. When it happened to mine....I had manual hubs installed for about $150 total. Get it checked, but that's what it sounds like. Keep the Trooper, they're awesome. Check out this website: www.independent4x.com. They have really cool aftermarket stuff for your Trooper! Enjoy.
