HELP!!! Recently purchased 1989 Dodge Raider 3.0, 97,xxx miles. Truck has a
vibraton that you can "feel" at lower speeds but comes to its peak at 55 mph with a low harmonic sound -- loud enough to drown out the radio -- and a tremendous vibration -- the seats feel like vibrating chairs. It is NOT felt on the steering wheel or the transmission console or shifter.
Within past month have replaced: idler arm bushings, trailing arm bushings -- both frame and suspension, rear sway bar bushings, all 4 tires all 4 shocks, all four U joints, upper control arms, lower control arm bushings. Rear Drive shaft is a fairly "new" Dana == the label isn't even dirty yet and it has been rotated 180 degrees.
This problem is directly related to speed i.e. the vibration is the same at 55 mph if the truck is in Drive, Overdrive, or Neutral. Transmission has been checked and is not cause of problem. Hubs all look fine. Was a one
owner vehicle supposedly accident free.
Am running out of patience and money.
Anyone have any suggestions????
