That carb is not designed for that. You might try lowering the float level a bit and see if it helps. (You might need to jet it a bit bigger when you lower level too)

Wenpen - if you're doing a lot of hills, there is really no substitution for injected fuel. While a few companies try hard to make carbs work off camber, the simple fact is that the amount of fuel that is metered in the float bowl, is metered by a floatation device. When the float reaches a certain level, it blocks the incoming fuel into the carb so that it doesn't flood. Put your rig off-camber, and the float no longer works.

If you're on a tight budget, you can dink around with your float, but you'll really never be happy.

If you have a bit of money set aside, "Got Propane?" makes some really nice kits that don't cost a lot of money. I know a LOT of people that run them and they're very happy with it. The smell takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not all that horrible either. PLUS, it's far more ecologically friendly too. Their web site is http://www.gotpropane.com/ - and they do have a nice kit for your Sammy too.

I have to agree that propane is about the ultimate off road fuel (not bad on road either)but as carbs go some are better than others and although the Qjet will not work for you on your engine, I have found it to be a very good carb off road as I was off roading with them over 30 years ago before most even knew what a 4x4 was. I still say lowering the float level is worth a try.
