I ahve an 88.5 Samurai. Every once in a while the accelorator will stick and the engine revs really bad. If I stomp on the pedal it quits, why is this happening, how can I correct the problem?

i know this reply might be a little late but if you are still having the problem you will nedd to get a can of carb cleaner and clean all the throttle linkage (dirt carbon debree, etc. then take some clear or red grease and lude the cables a little bit also while you are at it get a tooth brush (pref. a old one. and clean out the inside of the carb just squirt it right down the center and scrub the black away this should rectify the cituation. ------------ James at 12/8/1999 6:44:18 PM I ahve an 88.5 Samurai.
