yo FG!
Sounds normal; probably result of the downshift.
check to see if thes shifter is rattling against the plastic trim piece over carpet or mat.
unless it is really flopping around a few inches; if so, check shift rod to shifter assy (under truck) see this pic by my pal Shadofax;

and see if those rubber pieces are worn out or missing.
check bolts to tranny. some are tuff to get to w/out a swivel socket.

It's not "flopping" just vibrating so it shouldn't be any problem with the shifter assy. I'll check the plastic trim it very possibly could be touching that and making the noise. It's not a real problem just really annoying when cruising down the interstate. |
