Hi Brnady - our site was hacked by some scumbag hacker a while back. Unfortunatley, as part of that hack, the original subject that you posted was cut off. Could you please reask the question and describe the symptoms that you are having one more time?

thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Rick

well for starters we rebilt the engine it is a 350 tbi 4 bolt main 5.7 liter the engine has vortec heads on it new timeing chain, lifters, cam am not sure on the lobe lift but when you step on the gas it back fires in to the tbi we took it to a shop and they set the timing anout 8 to 10 degres passed top dead center . because if they had it set to facory seting it blew out black smoke and fire out the tail pipe and wouldnt run at all .it is just very slugish like there is no power what i was wondering is if the vortec heads would have any thing to do with that or the cam or the valves we have very good compresiom in every one of the pistons hope you can help in about 3 weeks i will have time to check mor into her problems thanks alot for checking into this !!!!!
