Hi. I have Toyota Hilux with strange gear change problem. It is very stiff to put the car in to gear (in any gear) but if I wait 4 seconds, gear just slips in nicely. I think synchros are ok because it never goes in crashing gears eccept reverse which I think is quet normal. I thought the clutch is not disengaging so I have risen the pedal (by a lot) but it made no diference at all. I have even changed oil for new corect type. Still same, still takes 4 seconds to slip in to gear without forcing it. Anyone has any ideas??? I did go to mechanic but first thing they wanted to do is to change the clutch and then see what happens. Yeah, right! Please Email me if you has same problem or know what it is. Thanks.
