I have a 1999 Silverado with 39,000 miles. I got a noise when accelerating. The noise sounds like it's coming from the lower part of the engine or the transmission. The noise is a gargling sound. It just started a couple weeks ago and seems to be getting louder.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

------------ Try visiting the dealer and let them check it out. If they say nothing is wrong go to a person that knows something about trucks and let the person check it out but be careful who you choose!

Have you also checked fluid level in tranny? It is possible that it is low and the fluid is aerating and causing the noise.

Sounds overly simple, but also check that your lug nuts are tight.

Is your truck lifted?I had a problem with carrier bearing on mine. Only made noise when taking off.
