I have a stock 1997 Chevy K1500 ext cab that I'm am having a 3" body lift installed on.

It currently has the stock rims and 265/75/16 tires.

I would like to know what size wheels and tires will fit on this after the lift, without cranking the torsion bars, trimming fenders, and no rubbing.

I am looking at Dick Cepek DC1 wheels.  17x9 have 4.5" backspace and -12 offset.  16x10 have 4.5" backspace and -25 offset.

The 4x4 shop recommended the 17x9 wheels with 285/70/17 tires.

I'm also thinking about 16x10 wheels with 295/75/16 or 305/70/16 tires.

The truck belongs to my 16 year old son, so he is looking for the biggest tire and an aggressive look.

Thanks for any input.
