Hey Guys… Have you checked out the 2007 Jeep Wrangler and the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-Door yet? It’s the best so far! The all new Jeep Wrangler is everything you would expect from a re-design; it’s taller, stronger, and tougher, it outputs more horsepower and torque! Furthermore, it has tougher axles, more available options, a tougher drivetrain, more ground clearance, and larger tires and wheels on all models!

You can visit Jeep.com and take a 360 degree look at both the 2007 Jeep Wrangler and the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-Door inside and out. By clicking on the link below, you'll be ready to take an in-depth look at the innovative 2007 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited!

If you happen to have any questions regarding the vehicle(s), feel free to post. I would be more than happy to be of assistance.

Regards,

Miguel M.

Hi Miguel, thanks for the informaiton and posts!

We recently went to the Rubicon trail to test the new '07 Rubicon and were amazed at it's capabilities. I won't spoil future articles, but I can say that as a former professional rock crawler and someone who tests vehicles and off-road products for a living, the '07 Wrangler Rubicon knocked our socks off! It is an amazing off-road vehicle, to say the least.

Here's the first of a two-part article about it: http://www.4x4review.com/vehicles/jeep/2007rubicon/

Regards, Rick

I have a question. what's the deal with the new engine? I heard it's a warmed-over version of the mini van engine. Is that true? Is it peppier or more powerful than the tried-n-true 4.0L I6 that has been working so well for so long?

Hello webby4x4,

Thank you for the reply. We certainly appreciate the positive feedback. Particularly from an avid off-roader like yourself. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I can definitely field any 2007 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited questions that you may have.

Hello 4xguy,

As a matter of not only exclusivity, the 3.8L V6 Wrangler engine is a refinement of the old 4.0L I6 engine. This is not to say that the older engine was not suitable. Not once have I ever heard any negative feedback regarding that engine. With that in mind, Jeep has attempted to build upon the success of the 4.0L I6 engine and establish a more efficient, powerful and torque capable-engine ableit with a smaller displacement. Below I have listed the specifications for both of these engines together with their respective estimated fuel mileage ratings (specifically for the 2-door models as the 4-door models obviously cannot be compared).

4.0L I-6 Horsepower - 190 @ 4,600 Torque - 235 @ 3,200 2006 EPA est mpg (city/hwy)(1)16/19

(1) Based on 2005 information.

3.8-Liter V6 - 202hp - 237ft-lb of torque EPA est mpg (city/hwy) 17/19

In regards to the information you have received pertaining to the origin of this new engine; we have not received any information, official or otherwise, indicating that this is the case.

Cheers,

Miguel M.

Hi Miguel - Can you tell us what the differences are between last year's Rock-Trac t-case, and this year's? I asked one of the tech's when I was testing the rig on the Rubicon, but they didn't have the technical data with them. All that I was able to get from them was that they beefed up the output shaft and increased the number of bolts in the case.

Thanks, Rick

Hello webby4x4,

At this point, we have yet to receive the full specifications for the new Rock-Trac 4x4 system. My best suggestion would be to stay posted with us in the coming few weeks for updates as they become available.

Take care,

Miguel M.

Hello all,

Aside from Webby4x4, has anyone else had a chance to test drive an all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler or 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited? If so, what did you think? What did you like about the changes and would you like to be changed? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, Webby4x4, the Jeep Tech & Engineering Guide should be making its way into our database relatively soon. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the modifications performed on the Rock-Trac Transfer Case for 2007.

In the meantime, if you guys happen to have any questions/comments, feel free to post.

I'll be around.

Miguel M.
