I have a 2003 Wrangler and need wiring diagram for trailer hitch. I've never had problems in the past splicing into the tail lights but I can't seem to find the right combo. The running lights do not illuminate, all-else works fine. what am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a good ground between trailer and Jeep?

Have you also tried hooking up a straight 12V source to the wire that feeds the running lights? This might show you if there is a short along the wiring harness on the trailer too.
