I have a 99' XE, V6 4x4 Kingcab.265-70R15 tires and limited slip. It has the Value package,Comfort package and the off road package. Everything the SE has except power windows and door locks. I did not want power windows and door locks because the arm rest is longer to accomodate them, and it jammed my left knee. As it is,the 4x4 shift knob jams my right knee. Other than that,I find it to be quite comfortable. I had a 91'Ford F150 XLT Lariat. Power everything and very comfortable. It was a two wheel drive, but I had a 4" suspenssion lift and 33"x12.5" BFG's on it. It looked GREAT! But,I had spent a couple thousand in repairs on it in a three year period. Too many problems with it,so I sold it. I have an 87' Nissan 4x2 with 160,000 miles on it,and still going strong. I bought it new.Replaced normal wear items such as brakes, batterys, shocks, starter all well after 100,000mi.The Ford only had 62,000mi,and I had replaced all that and much more. So,what I am getting at is,I am down sizing for reliability. The new nissan looks kind of plain, but gets the job done, for me anyways. I have taken a couple of long trips in it and it drives great. I live in San Diego. I went to Canyonlands in Utah. It did fine on 4x4 roads. It could use some more ground clearance, but if you lift it,you loose gas milage on the highway. Because of more wind drag. The good thing is Nissan put skid plates underneath to protect vital areas. I scrapped up the underside, but so what. The plates protect it so you can drag it over stuff. It has great low rpm power. And no slouch on the hiway. I took a trip to Montana last june and got a ticket for doing 87mph. I had it in cruise control at 95mph, when I had noticed the Hiway Patrol comming the opposite direction as I. By the time he got me with his radar I had only backed off to 87mph.
