rd, 1971, grew up in Rochester NY… born at a young age.
Most of my life has been spent outdoors. I grew up in western NY and was in the woods tracking deer and fishing
every chance I could. In 1985 I was given a snowboard by the local skate shop owner and 2 years later I was a
factory sponsored professional snowboarder competing on the New England World Cup Tour and Western Mountain series.
I sat on the very first committee that sat before the Olympic panel in 1989 to have snowboarding as a trial
sport in the Olympics. I got to travel to 7 countries to compete and was sidelined in 1993 with a major injury to my
knee and shoulder while filming a cliff-drop video for K2 Snowboards. After competing was over for me, I was involved
for almost a 10-year stint in the custom car audio industry. I ran regional IASCA events at the shop and traveled to
car audio shops doing sales and install training, as well as product reviews for a few of the industry rags.
And after all that here I am in Florida with no snow! Rats!
4 Wheel History

I was always into big Trucks; I used to collect magazines from the 80's when Bigfoot, Bearfoot, Boss Hogg, and the
like were still actually "real" trucks. My Brother took me wheeling when I was 11 with a friend who had an old Power
Wagon with 40" Gumbo Monster Mudders on it, and I was hooked. I proceeded to follow the 4-wheel path with various
vehicles, mostly Nissans, to see what I could do to them and where I could go. Since then, I have moved to Jeeps
- still got a Nissan though. My first was a 94 YJ which was great, but I decided to build a crawler for more western-like terrain and
started all over again with an '04 Rubicon, 5.5 RE Long arm kit, and 35's. Now living in Florida, my wife and I teach 4x4 driving,
recovery, trail safety and wheeling classes for our club and other clubs around the state - and hopefully around the
country. We have wheeled all over Moab/southern Utah and northern AZ as well as most of VT, MA, NH, and CO. Reviews'
for 4X4REVIEW.COM are my newest rewarding venture in the 4x4 industry.
