Smittybilt Announces their 10,000 lb Winch - The XRC 10

2008 - Compton, CA - The folks at Smittybilt have been busy.
Once known for inexpensive tubular bumpers and nerf bars the Compton,
CA company has spent the last couple of years completely reworking their
product line with a focus on innovation and quality.
Their latest new product is the XRC 10 10,000 lb winch. This winch
features a 5.5 hp series wound motor, overheat recovery and a 3
Stage Planetary gear system, with a 218:1 gear ratio. The kit also
includes a roller fairlead, a hook and a remote control for plug
and play installation.

We haven't had an opportunity to test the winch yet but the construction
appears similar to winches from companies like Mile Marker and T-Max.
Pricing for the XRC 10 hasn't been released yet but based on pricing
for the smaller XRC 8 we would expect that it will be very competitive.
