A Weekend of Wheelin’

Sam's Offroad Customer Appreciation Event

Sam’s Offroad Equipment and Rough Country Suspension Systems put on a great event with something for everyone – low-difficulty trails for less advanced off-roaders and medium built 4x4s, up to world-class rock crawling for the more advanced offroaders.  This full weekend of wheelin’ began with a fun run on Friday evening, a full day of hard-core offroading on Saturday and for those who had not yet broken their rigs (or their bodies), the weekend was topped off with another day of wheelin’ on Sunday!

Coby of Sam’s Offroad Equipment led the less experienced group through the trails of Freelings Offroad Ranch while Joe Reavis led the advance drivers through the trails of Green Acres, both within a stone’s throw of the Clayton, OK Rodeo Grounds at Jon R. Edwards Park.

Event Coverage

Your intrepid Feature Editor and offroading newbie planned to cover the Customer Appreciation Run on Saturday with first half of the day spent with the hardcore group and the second half with the less-advanced group.  What I didn’t consider was that the hardcore guys would be doing what they do best…  going down impossibly difficult trails with no plan to return to base until sunset.  So much for my plan for lunch at the rodeo fairgrounds.  Luckily this group of offroaders, like everyone affiliated with the Sam’s Offroad Equipment and Rough Country Suspension customer appreciation run, seem to be made-up of the nicest people on Earth.  Food and drink were shared to keep the 4X4REVIEW.COM camera clicking away at some of the most advance offroading outside of the Nation’s premier offroad venues.  A little food, a little water and a lot of pictures!  Enjoy:
